Komodo island Adventure 4D3N Tour With Athira Phinisi Cruise

4 Days 3 nights liveboard cruise from Lombok and Labuan bajo

Day 3
Manta rays, pink sand & Komodo dragons – the heart of Komodo national park : Day 3 is why people fly across the world. This is Komodo National Park at its wildest: graceful manta rays, rare pink beaches, panoramic peaks, and dragons in the wild. Buckle up.

manta point – Dance with gentle giants fish : Start before sunrise. Manta Point is one of the best manta ray cleaning stations on Earth. Drift-snorkel as 3–5m reef mantas loop overhead, getting “cleaned” by small fish. No touching, just floating in awe. Visibility is best in the morning and sightings are almost guaranteed. It’s silent, surreal, and the closest you’ll get to flying underwater.

Komodo island – Meet the Komodo dragons : Next, step onto Komodo Island, home of the legendary Komodo dragon. Trek with a certified ranger through savanna and forest to spot Varanus komodoensis in the wild. Learn how these 3m predators rule the island. The short Banunggulung trail is perfect if you want dragons + ocean views without a tough hike. Respect the rules – these guys are fast and wild.

Long pink beach – one of only 7 pink beaches worldwide : After the trek, cool off at Long Pink Beach, aka Pantai Merah. The pink sand comes from crushed red coral mixed with white sand. The water is calm, clear, and packed with reef fish right off the shore. Perfect for snorkeling, paddleboarding, or just lying on sand that looks photoshopped. Few beaches on Earth look like this.

Padar island – the iconic viewpoint : Then it’s time for the money shot. Hike 20–30 min up Padar Island for the most famous view in Komodo. Three crescent bays in different colors: white, black, and pink sand. Do it before 10am to beat heat + crowds. The panorama is unreal – it’s on Indonesia’s 100k rupiah note for a reason. Bring water, but the view pays you back 100x.

Kalong island – sunset + flying fox spectacles : End the day at Kalong Island, “Bat Island”. As the sky turns orange, thousands of flying foxes lift off from mangroves in one massive cloud. They’re heading out to feed for the night. The sound + silhouette against sunset is pure magic. It’s a peaceful, no-walking stop – just watch from the boat with dinner.

why day 3 is unforgettable : From floating with manta rays at Manta Point to standing face-to-face with Komodo dragons, then collecting pink sand, summit views, and bat-filled sunsets… Day 3 is the core of Komodo. It’s wildlife + landscapes + that “pinch me” feeling all in 12 hours.
Day 4
Farewell cruise – strawberry rock , kelor island & Labuan bajo : Your 4D3N Komodo + Sumbawa adventure isn’t over yet. Day 4 keeps it relaxed, scenic, and full of last-minute “wow” moments before you head back to Labuan Bajo with salty hair and a full camera roll.

strawberry rock / manjarete beach – the secret pink spot : Start the day at Strawberry Rock, also called Manjarite Beach. Don’t expect actual strawberries – the name comes from the pink/red coral fragments scattered on white sand, giving the beach a soft blush tone. The water is calm and shallow, perfect for a final snorkel or just floating with no rush. It’s quiet, untouched, and feels like your own private beach. Snap those last tropical photos before we sail on.

kelor island – Quick trek, epic views : Next stop: Kelor Island. This tiny island is a 10–15 min hike to a stunning viewpoint over the Flores Sea and scattered islands. The trail is short but steep, so you’ll be up and down in 30 minutes with time for photos. From the top you get that classic Komodo “islands from above” look – turquoise water, green hills, white sand. It’s the perfect last viewpoint before we head to port.

Labuan bajo – arrive in getaway of Komodo : By afternoon we cruise back to Labuan Bajo, Flores. Drop your gear, rinse off the salt, and soak in the harbor vibes. This is where your trip started and ended. Grab a cold Bintang, watch the sunset over the bay, or stroll the waterfront for souvenirs. If you have a late flight, we can drop you straight at Komodo Airport LBJ.

Why Day 4 wraps it perfectly
why day 4 wraps it perfectly : Day 4 is your “soft landing”. No rushing, no tough treks – just hidden beaches, a quick viewpoint, and time to breathe it all in. Strawberry Rock gives you one last secret beach, Kelor Island gives you one last epic view, and Labuan Bajo gives you time to say goodbye to Komodo.
Day 2
Epic views, Dragons & pink sand – Komodo national park : Day 2 is the day everyone talks about after a Komodo trip. We’re hitting the 4 icons: sunrise views, Komodo dragons, rare pink sand, and manta rays. Early wake-up, big rewards.

Padar island – the sunrise viewpoint : Wake up early for the most famous hike in Indonesia. 20–30 min trek up Padar Island and you’re standing above 3 crescent bays: white sand, black sand, and pink sand. The view at sunrise is pure wallpaper – ridges, turquoise water, no filter needed. It’s on the 100k rupiah note for a reason. Bring water + camera. This 30 minutes pays you back for life.

Komodo island – walk with Komodo dragons : After Padar, we land on Komodo Island, home of the world’s largest lizard. Trek with a certified ranger through savanna and forest to spot Komodo dragons in the wild. Watch how they move, hunt, and rule the island. The Banunggulung trail is short but gives you dragons + ocean views. Keep distance – they’re wild and fast.

pink beach – snorkel on rare pink sand : Next, drop anchor at Pink Beach, aka Pantai Merah. The sand is naturally pink from crushed red coral mixing with white sand. Only 7 pink beaches exist in the world, and this is the most accessible. The water is calm and shallow with reef fish right off the shore. Snorkel, swim, or just walk on sand that looks edited.

manta point – Drift with giant manta rays : Finish the day at Manta Point, one of Earth’s best manta ray cleaning stations. Float on the surface as 3–5m reef mantas glide over you in slow loops. No touching, just drifting and watching. Morning to midday has the best visibility. It feels like flying underwater.

why day 2 is the highlight : From the iconic Padar viewpoint to face-to-face with Komodo dragons, then pink sand under your feet and manta rays above you – Day 2 packs the whole “Komodo dream” into one day. It’s wildlife, landscapes, and brag-worthy photos all before sunset.
Day 3
Crater lake today , whales sharks at sunrise tomorrow – satonda island + overnight at Dori peti : Day 3 is the “slow down and sink in” day. You swim in a volcanic lake in the afternoon, sleep on the boat under stars, then wake up to wild whale sharks at sunrise. No rush, no crowds, just Sumbawa at its wildest.

satonda island – float in a volcanic crater lake : After breakfast we cruise to Satonda Island, aka “Pulau Misteri”. This tiny volcanic island hides a massive blue saltwater lake right in its crater.
The water is warm and super buoyant, so floating feels effortless. Swim, snorkel off the beach, or hike 10 min to the rim for a 360° view: turquoise lake on one side, Flores Sea on the other. Locals say the lake is bottomless and guarded by spirits. We say it’s one of Indonesia’s most surreal swim spots.
Zero resorts, zero noise. Just you, clear water, and a volcano. Perfect for photos and for slowing your pace before night.

Dori peti – overnight on the boat , whales sharks at down : By afternoon we sail to Dori Peti Bay. This quiet bay is a natural hangout for wild whale sharks. Local fishermen feed small bait fish, so the sharks come close to boats daily.
We anchor for the night right in the feeding area. Dinner on deck, stars above, water below. No need to snorkel now – the real show starts tomorrow morning.
Wake up early, grab your mask, and slide into the water. At sunrise the whale sharks come in to feed, 7–10m long, gliding right next to the boat. Calm, close, and totally wild. You’re not chasing them – they come to you. One or two morning swims and you’ll understand why people fly across the world for this.
After the encounter we have breakfast on deck while the boat gets ready for Day 4.

why day 3 is special : It’s contrast in the best way: silent crater lake by day, ocean giants at dawn. Day 3 trades long travel for deep experience. You rest, you float, you sleep on the sea, then you meet whale sharks before most people have coffee.
Day 4
Final swim, final island ,hello Lombok – whales shark point + gili bedil : Last day, but the trip still has 2 big moments left. One more swim with whale sharks, then a tropical island to close it out before we drop you in Lombok. Check-out is around 21:00 PM, or next morning if you prefer a slow exit.
Whale Shark Point – Sunrise Swim
Wake up early and grab your mask. We’re still anchored at Dori Peti Bay, one of the best wild whale shark spots in Indonesia.
At sunrise the gentle giants come in to feed near the boat. No boats full of tourists, no chasing – just you sliding into calm water as 7–10m whale sharks glide past. Watch them loop, feed, and disappear into the blue. It’s peaceful, close, and the perfect last ocean moment. One last snorkel, then breakfast on deck as the sun climbs.

Gili Bedil – Tiny island , Big finish : After breakfast we cruise to Gili Bedil. This small, untouched island off Sumbawa has white sand and shallow reef right from the beach.
No resorts, no roads, just palm trees and clear water. Perfect for a final swim, beach walk, or drone shot. Snorkel off the sand and you’ll still see colorful fish and coral. It’s quiet, it’s pretty, and it gives you that “one more tropical photo” before the trip ends. Relax here till afternoon.

Lombok – check out around 21:00 pm or next day : Late afternoon we sail toward Lombok. We’ll drop you at Bangsal Harbor or Teluk Nara, depending on your transfer.
Check-out from the boat is around 21:00 PM if you have a late flight or night transfer. Prefer to take it slow? Stay on board and check-out next morning after breakfast. Either way, your crew will help with luggage and local transport to Senggigi, Mataram, or Lombok Airport LOP.

why day 4 is the perfect ending : Day 4 keeps it simple: one last swim with whale sharks, one last beach at Gili Bedil, then smooth transfer to Lombok. No rushed trekking, just time to soak it all in before you head home.
